As a professional wedding and portrait photographer, I travel throughout the Pacific Northwest regularly. Seattle is a destination that typically happens at least a few times each year but this time the trip was a bit different.
A couple of months ago, I had the honor of photographing a live birth session for a surrogate. The intended parents live in the Seattle area and were interested in having a newborn session captured in their home. So we planned a weekend trip up to Seattle by lining up a number of additional portrait sessions. Knowing that I was heading up to the Seattle area, the surrogate asked if I would be willing to transport a cooler full of breast milk for the intended parents. Why not?
So with my car full of camera equipment and a cooler full of breast milk, I made my way up to Seattle. The newborn session was extremely fun to capture. I then headed to a local park to meet up with another familiar family.
Logan and Kevin are a couple we have photographed many times and who we have connected with both in Seattle and Portland for family portrait sessions. Their two children are absolutely adorable and are very familiar with the camera. We had a blast playing at the park, watching the ducks swim in the lake, and seeing how high we could go on the swings!
