There are people who feel comfortable in front of a camera and then there is Melissa & Matt. These two are smashingly beautiful, unabashedly in love, and unbelievably great to work with. Melissa chose The Nines Hotel as a location to get ready quite simply because she really likes the way the hotel photographs. And quite frankly, so do we. We then took off to meet up with Matt at Bridal Veil Lakes for the ceremony and reception. Missy with Take 5 Photography was already there documenting away.
Melissa & Matt chose a unique arrangement of their guests for their ceremony. Seating was arranged in a semi-circle around the couple with no center aisle. It made for a very intimate experience and with the view of the lake in the background, the setting was just absolutely perfect. Following the ceremony, guests walked along the tree lined path over to the reception area. Melissa & Matt creatively incorporated elements of their location into their wedding reception. Take for example, the oar. Instead of a traditional guestbook, Melissa & Matt left an oar on the table for guests to sign. What a great keepsake! There were blankets and pillows left out for guests to cozy up to and enjoy the spectacular views. From the floral to the oven grilled tossed pizzas, every element was well thought out and beautifully executed. I thought it was particularly touching to see that in lieu of wedding favors, Melissa & Matt chose to make a donation to Foodshare Fund Northwest.
Congratulations to Melissa & Matt! Check out the couple’s sneak peek wedding slideshow and be sure to vote on your favorite images below.
