Vendor Spotlight: Perfect Planning

We have worked on a number of weddings and events with Jennifer from Perfect Planning.  She is a wonderful wedding planner who just recently joined us at The Bridal Loft.  Make sure to come by and visit her to discuss your wedding planning needs.  She is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and has a number of cost savings tips and ideas to share:

Think small and intimate.  The quickest way to lower the overall cost of your wedding is having a smaller head count. By having a smaller intimate wedding you have more time to spend with every guest who attends your wedding. Guests appreciate having the one on one time with a bride and groom on the big day, especially when they have traveled a distance to be at your event.

Consider off-season dates.  Having your wedding off-season (November-April) can add up to a lot of savings with booking a venue.  Some venues discount as much as half off!

Did you know that candles are rarely cheaper than flowers?  Many brides are under the impression that fresh flowers are going to “break the bank.”  But when you look at the bottom line, candles are just as much if not more than fresh flowers when creating a beautiful centerpiece for your wedding. Instead, be flexible with your flower selection and choose blooms that are local and in season.  Then, incorporate some pretty votives to create a gorgeous focal point.

Consider going with colored linen.  White, ivory and black are great colors, but at times can be very traditional.  When choosing linens for your wedding, think gorgeous colors.  Black linen is oftentimes the same price as the purple, green and red in the same fabric.

Bridesmaid’s dresses don’t have to be traditional.  Brides have so many new and fresh choices to pick from for bridesmaids dresses. The days of un-bearable hot pink satin dresses are a thing of the past. Realistically all you need to find is a dress that is offered in an assortment of sizes in the color you want.

Buffet is not always the most cost effective service choice.  Many brides assume that a plated dinner is out of their budget. Its always important to get a quote for both.  You may be surprised by your findings. When a wedding is catered in a buffet style the caterer many times has to make extra food so that the buffet always has a look of abundance.  With plated dinners, caterers are working with a smaller margin of extra food.  Extra food = extra money.

Whether you are planning a wedding in town or at a destination, it is important to have strong wedding professionals helping you along the way.
