Documenting Your Family

I had the opportunity to meet Diana & Bryan many years ago when they were interviewing photographers to document their wedding.  On Sept 5, 2010, Diana & Bryan exchanged their wedding vows at the Abernethy Center and we had the privilege of documenting that wonderful day.  Looking back at their wedding photos brings me right back to that day and spurs all sorts of fun memories.  Hey Bryan – remember doing shots in the back room during the reception?  🙂

Well, Diana & Bryan then contacted us when they were expecting their first child.  We had the opportunity to capture a maternity session, a newborn session, a 6 month session, and a 1 year session for their first daughter.

We then had the opportunity to do the exact same for their first son too.  Ethan’s newborn session was absolutely adorable and we most recently wrapped up his 1 year session.  Therefore, we wanted to share highlights from Ethan’s 1 year session.

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank Diana & Bryan for entrusting us to document their family over the years.  It has been such a pleasure and honor.  I hope that as your children grow and progress in life that these photos bring you much happiness, joy, and wonderful memories.

Very much looking forward to our next photo session together!

Family Portraits at Hoyt Arboretum

We love photographing family portraits at Hoyt Arboretum.  It is a wonderful location with many photographic opportunities and once the session is over, the Portland Children’s Museum and the Oregon Zoo are both easily accessible.

The Hoyt Arboretum area photographs particularly well in the fall.  If you or someone you know is wanting to have their family portraits captured, consider the Hoyt Arboretum especially as we head into late Sept, October, and early November.

September has been a particularly busy month for us but we wanted to catch up on some blogging and share this wonderful family portrait session at Hoyt Arboretum.

Sydney & Cody | August 9, 2015

Sydney and Cody planned an extremely fun and relaxed wedding celebration at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club.  The weather was perfect.  The setting was absolutely stunning.

The couple exchanged their wedding vows amongst a forest-like setting overlooking a beautiful stretch of water.  Following the ceremony, we headed back to the Clubhouse to sign the marriage license, take a few moments break, and then head back to the ceremony area for portraits with friends and family.

The wedding reception was held outdoors at the Vintner’s Pavilion.  With sweeping golf course views and an abundance of wildflowers, the reception setting was absolutely spectacular.  From the personal toasts to the courageous karaoke late into the evening, Sydney and Cody’s wedding was an absolute blast.  They even had a giant sized block-stacking, stack-crashing game of Jenga and an over-sized outdoor Yahtzee set for guests to enjoy.

Congratulations to Sydney and Cody!
