One of the things I love most is the relationships we form with our clients over the years. We continuously expand our service offerings to grow with our clients needs. Most often, the wedding day is just the beginning…
We met Julia & Erik last year as they were planning their wedding. We had an opportunity to capture their engagement photos at one of our favorite locations in Portland – Hoyt Arboretum. Then in July of last year, we captured their Waverley Country Club wedding. Their beautifully choreographed first dance, the exciting moments of anticipation just before the ceremony began, and climbing out onto a balcony to capture a bird’s eye view of the newlyweds with all of their guests were just some of my favorite memories from their wedding day.
Most recently, Julia & Erik contacted us to announce they were expecting their first child. We were delighted by the news and extremely excited to have an opportunity to connect once again. We offered Julia & Erik the option of capturing portraits of their newborn at our photography studio in Portland or at the comforts of their home. Julia & Erik wanted to incorporate elements of their home into the photo shoot so we opted to do the newborn session at home. The available light in the nursery made for a wonderful setting for most of the portraits.
For those of you who think of Paul Rich Studio primarily as a wedding photography studio, keep in mind that our services extend well beyond to meet the needs of our clients. Family portraits are a natural extension of what we do, however, we also capture professional headshots to assist our clients with their businesses, real estate for when our clients are looking to sell their homes, special events like birthdays and family reunions, and many many non-profit and fundraising events.
Here are some highlights from Julia & Erik’s newborn session at home:
