Kaytlind & Eric | August 24, 2013

Kaytlind & Eric were officially married on August 24, 2013 in Abigail’s Garden at the Abernethy Center.  The couple had the opportunity to see each other privately in the lower lawn area before the ceremony and we captured many fun portraits of the couple and their wedding party.

Immediately following the ceremony, all of the guests gathered around for a large group photo of everyone.  It is one of my favorite ways to kick off cocktail hour.

The reception was extremely lively with all sorts of dancing and fun moments throughout the evening.  Encore Mobile DJs provided the music for the evening and at one point the groomsmen and bridesmaids erupted into an incredible dance off.  Glow sticks were passed around in advance of the couple’s grand departure and everyone began twirling them around on the dance floor.  An Italian soda bar created fantastical drinks for the little ones and the couple shared scoops of ice cream from the sundae bar in lieu of the more traditional wedding cake.  All of these unique little touches made for an incredibly memorable evening of fun and festivity.

Congratulations to Kaytlind & Eric!

Baby Fiona

Petrel and her husband Jacob are dear friends of mine.  I have known them for many years through the wedding industry.  Petrel is the owner of The Wedding Cottage (one of our favorite locations for wedding accessories and invitations) as well as Peachtree Gifts (a super cute boutique overflowing with unique gifts that celebrate the every day).

While we have had the opportunity to do a number of wedding related photo shoots for Petrel, this most recent photo shoot was a much more personal session focused on her daughter Fiona.  Fiona arrived on her exact due date of August 18, 2013.

Congratulations to Petrel & Jacob!

A number of vendors throughout the wedding industry have contacted us to document their growing families and we wish to thank all of them for their support of our business.

Helen & Toni | August 17, 2013

Helen & Toni were recently married at Perryhill Farm in Dallas, OR.  The location is absolutely stunning with a secluded ceremony area surrounded by tall trees and a lake and a rustic barn for the reception area that overlooks sprawling peach and blueberry patches.  It is the quintessential rustic farm experience of the Pacific Northwest.

Helen & Toni were surrounded by their closest friends and family members as they exchanged their vows.  Prior to walking down the aisle, a young girl and boy carried in a sign which read, “Here comes the brides…”

Once it was declared that Helen & Toni were officially married and the couple sealed it with a kiss, all the guests stood up and clapped and cheered as the couple walked down the aisle.  It was such a fun high energy moment.

Guests gathered along the barn for a large group portrait of everyone.  It was the perfect way to kick off cocktail hour and to set the tone for a fun and exciting celebration.  Catering was provided by Wild Pear Catering and rockin’ live music was provided by the 24-7 Band.

Congratulations to Helen & Toni!  It was such an honor to document your wedding day.

Love the photos Helen! It was hard to choose a favorite…there were a lot of great photos of you and Toni together…and the kids holding the sign stole the show! I decided the group shot because that is the one thing I didn’t have in my wedding photos!
