Joan & James | Winter Portraits

We are having so much fun here at the studio wrapping up the edits on all the portraits we captured up at Timberline Lodge.  There is just something magical about snow isn’t there?  And there is something magical that happens when you get people out in it having their photos taken.

We were so excited when Joan & James signed up for our Winter Wonderland Portrait Session.  Having photographed their destination wedding in Oahu, their 1 year anniversary session in St Johns, and now their winter session at Timberline Lodge, we have certainly been all over the place for portraits and celebrations.  Where to next?

With the month of December rapidly approaching, we only have a few more spots available for holiday portraits so make sure to contact us right away!

Winter Wonderland Portraits

This year’s Winter Wonderland Portrait Special was a huge hit with families.  What a great way to capture some unique portraits in the snow for your annual holiday card, right?

Families come up to Timberline Lodge and make a day trip out of the experience.  Let the kids run around outside, play in the snow, and then come inside for a nice hot cup of chocolate by the fire.  It truly makes for a great day and some very fun portraits.

There is no better time than right now to sign up for our monthly newsletter.  Each month we send out exclusive deals and news about the studio.  Make sure to sign up today and begin taking advantage of fun portrait opportunities and deals like these.

Here are some highlights from one of the families who participated in the event.  Check back regularly as we will be updating the blog with all sorts of family portraits between now and the end of the year.

Pumpkin Patch Portrait Session

As the wedding season begins to wind down each year, the portrait season always begins to pick right up.  Now is the perfect time to capture your family holiday portraits.  In fact, based on our current schedule, we only have a few more spots available in order to guarantee delivery in time for the holidays.  So, if it is something you are considering, we strongly encourage you to contact us right away.

Please email any holiday portrait requests directly to paul@paulrichstudio.com.

The Service family took advantage of two of our portrait specials this year.  The first was out at Kruger’s Farm on Sauvie Island.  This location is wonderful for capturing the family out at the pumpkin patch.  It is one of our favorite portrait specials each year.  The Service Family also took advantage of our Winter Wonderland Session up at Timberline Lodge.  They did something extremely exciting this year and we cannot wait to share the photos with all of you.  However, it is such a super duper secret, that it is likely going to have to wait until after the holiday so as not to spoil the great surprise.

Professional Headshot Photography

It is always a good idea to update your professional headshot.  Whether you are wanting something new and different for something like LinkedIn, wanting to update your website, or are producing some promotional material, a professionally captured headshot is a great way to stand out.

Colin, an experienced personal injury and criminal defense lawyer, recently came by the studio for a professional headshot session.  He wanted two looks to be able to use for his website, business card, and social media sites.

If you or someone you know is looking for a professional headshot, November and December is a great time to gear up for the new year.

The Taste of Zupan’s

We recently had the honor of documenting The Taste of Zupan’s event held at The Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland.  Zupan’s donates 100% of the proceeds to the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division which provides emergency food and clothing to local families and individuals in need.  They estimate assisting approximately 1,200 families per month.

The Taste of Zupan’s is a great way to talk with local vendors and Zupan’s store experts while at the same time indulging in an exceptional array of cheeses, meats, seafood, hors d’oeuvres, side dishes, desserts, beer and wine, and much much more.  Here are just a few highlights from the event:

Alicia & Robert | Engagement Session

Alicia & Rob originally met at Oregon State University and requested to have their engagement session on campus.  It was the first time for me visiting the campus and I have to say, it is absolutely beautiful (especially this time of year).  The campus is filled with lush fall color and plenty of back drops to make for a great engagement session.  Alicia & Rob had a few locations in mind (some of their favorite spots) and of course we grabbed a bunch of images in between as well.  I enjoyed familiarizing myself with the campus and getting to spend some extra time with Alicia & Rob.

The couple will exchange their vows in June of 2013 and we are looking forward to working directly with Champagne Wedding & Events on this wedding.  Here are some highlights from the recent engagement session:
