Brewer’s Tasting Dinner

The Oregon Garden asked us to come down and document the 6 Course Brewer’s Tasting Dinner – an event which kicks off the Brewfest Weekend.  Each course was paired with a beer tasting from each of the featured breweries with each brewer taking a moment to talk about their unique beer.  A special thanks to each of the breweries for their participation:

Gigantic Brewing

GoodLife Brewing Company

Hopworks Urban Brewery

Logsdon Farmhouse Brews

Seven Brides Brewing

Widmer Brothers Brewing

From Belgian endives filled with a blend of olives, capers, roasted red pepper and caramelized onions to braised beef short ribs slow roasted with a root vegetable demi-glace, the 6 course meal was an absolute delight.  And the poached pear with mascarpone cheese filling was the perfect way to end the meal – paired with yet another beer of course!

The event was well publicized by local media and such blogging and Twitter enthusiasts as #pdxbeergeeks.

Wonderful, as always!

Paul Rich Studio Sodas

We are always thinking of fun and interesting ways to get our name out there to prospective brides.  Our most recent endeavor has been to customize cases of Jones soda using images from weddings we have recently photographed.

Looking to add some flair to your wedding day?  Consider adding an engagement photo of the two of you to create a very unique beverage for your guests.  You can even customize the text that appears on the back of the bottle.  What a great spot to write about how the two of you met and what a neat keepsake from your wedding day.

Lilly & Baby Andie | Portrait Session

Lilly is extremely excited to be a big sister.  She takes the responsibility pretty seriously and makes sure to help out mom and dad whenever she can.  Baby Andie loves to watch her big sister and smiles whenever she is around.  The two are going to grow up to be quite the pair.  It has been such an honor watching and documenting Lilly as she has grown from a newborn to a big sister and we are so excited to finally meet baby Andie.  Expect to see more images of this beautiful family soon!

We have implemented a brand new way to leave comments on our blog!

Ashley & Spencer | Engagement Session

We recently met up with Ashley & Spencer for their engagement session at Cathedral Park.  With the sun out and a nice cool breeze, it was the perfect day for taking photos.  I asked Ashley and Spencer if they were up for taking some photos on the St Johns Bridge and they were very excited to check it out.  In between cars and trucks whizzing by, we ran out to the middle of the road and captured some dramatic images.  Here are some of our favorites from their recent engagement session:
