Baby Marlyah

We were so excited to recently have Marlyah over to our studio for her 6 month portrait session.  She is growing up so quickly and is already sitting on her own like a big girl.  She really loves having her photo taken and loves to give big smiles.  Here are some of our favorites from the session:

The Keeley Family

One of the things that makes me the most proud, is the relationship I have with my clients.  Long after the wedding and long after the album is delivered, I enjoy connecting and re-connecting with all my new friends.  Erica & Stephen were married at Mt Hood Organic Farms back in July of 2007.  I remember their wedding fondly.  I remember all the love shared amongst friends and family.  I remember arriving on site and receiving a warm welcome from the entire bridal party and I remember the day flowing seamlessly with everyone having a wonderful time.  I remember climbing up on a ladder to capture a large group photo of all the guests.  I’m scared of heights and everyone must have noticed because they gave a cheer once I got to the top of the ladder.  I remember watching the sun set as toasts were given.  I remember how great the food tasted and how fun it was to capture everyone dancing afterward.  I remember pulling Erica and Stephen away for a quick portrait out in the open field and we had a chance to share our favorite moments from the day.  It was such a wonderful experience and now here we are in present day and Erica and Stephen have welcomed the most precious little girl into the world.  I had the honor of re-connecting with Erica and Stephen and observing them interact and play with their little girl.  Having the opportunity to document yet another milestone in their lives is what makes my career the absolute most rewarding experience.

45th Parallel

45th Parallel, one of Portland’s newest arts organizations, celebrates musicians of the Pacific Northwest.  With emphasis on small ensembles and creative programming, artistic director Gregory Ewer seeks to bring Portland’s rich chamber music culture out of the living room and onto the stage.  Gregory is a member of both the Oregon Symphony and the Portland Baroque Orchestra.  Unlike other Portland organizations that tend to bring in international stars, 45th Parallel places an emphasis on local musicians.

45th Parallel most recently played at the Alberta Rose Theatre and has multiple upcoming performances in Portland scheduled throughout April and May.
