When Mark contacted me to photograph his newborn daughter, I was wondering how that was going to happen. After all, they were living in California… Right? Well, not anymore! Mark and Katrina, whose wedding we photographed in June of 2009, moved back to Washington just a few months ago.
On March 31, 2011 at 4:18pm, Kaila was born. She weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces at birth and was 18.5 inches. Seeing Mark and Katrina was such a fun treat – especially with their newest addition to the family. I had the opportunity to witness them as newlyweds and now as young parents. What an incredible journey and history we share. I look forward to seeing Kaila, Mark, and Katrina again soon.

I feel so fortunate to build the types of relationships that we have with our couples…relationships that far transcend that of the wedding day. Having the opportunity to document life’s most exciting moments is something that I hold near and dear to my heart. Before Jenny & Clayton were even married, I had the opportunity to photograph them out at Cannon Beach for one of our signature Cannon Beach Sunset Sessions. Highlights from their session can be seen on our blog. We of course also photographed their wedding. And now, Jenny & Clayton are just a month away from becoming parents. I look forward to their upcoming photo sessions to document their newborn son’s first year. Looks like he already has a knitted hat to represent dad’s bike racing team!
The Bridal Loft’s 10th Anniversary Party was an absolute blast. The event required a trio of caterers (Simpatica Catering, Al-Amir’s Restaurant, & Crave Catering) to feed all our hungry party-goers. A tremendous thanks to all the vendors who participated in making the event a huge success. Carribean drums played by Caton Lyles & Friends and the hula performance by Ka Lei Hali’a O Ka Lokelani were special highlights to the evening. It was such a pleasure seeing all the vendors and the past, present, and future Bridal Loft brides!
We are so excited to have the opportunity to document Elizabeth & Nathan’s wedding at the Hotel Vintage Plaza this December. In preparation for their wedding, we met up at Mt Tabor Park for a beautiful Spring engagement session. It felt like the first real day of Spring with the bright sun and birds chirping in the background. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate!
Here are highlights from Elizabeth & Nathan’s engagement session:
