After finishing Hendricks’ newborn session back in April of this year, I made Rachelle & Donny promise me that we would meet up again for a 6 month and 12 month session. Hendricks is just so darn cute and I love seeing how much he has grown up each time I see him. For his 6 month session, we chose the location of a park that is just walking distance from Rachelle & Donny’s house. Since they frequently spend time at the park together, it seemed like the perfect location to take photos. I think about all the memories that these images will stir up over the years for Rachelle & Donny as their son grows up and their local park takes on a greater and greater amount of history together. Here are just a few of our absolute favorites:

Courtney & Ken were surrounded by their closest friends and family members for an intimate wedding ceremony on November 12, 2011. They exchanged their vows at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Following the ceremony, Courtney & Ken had set aside a couple of hours to go off and have photos taken together. It began with a quick trip over to a local park. Even though it was raining, Courtney & Ken wanted to stick with the original plan that we had developed just prior to the wedding day. Knowing that the two of them are quite adventurous, I came prepared with my favorite umbrella prop. It is a completely transparent bubble umbrella. Any excuse I have to use it, I take.
We captured some very fun photos of Courtney, Ken, and his daughter Avery. But, we still had plenty of time for even more photos and the light was fading fast. I had to think of a good indoor location fast. And it needed to be relatively close by as well because I wanted to maximize the time I had with them for photos. So, we jointly decided on the Benson Hotel in downtown Portland. I just love their lobby area with the fireplace and sweeping staircase. With the session complete, we headed to the Hall Street Grill for a reception dinner with guests.
Congratulations to Courtney & Ken!
