Baby Lilly: 1 Month Session

We simply cannot get enough of Baby Lilly.  She is just so darn cute.  I had the honor of photographing her at the hospital when she was just a couple of days old and it was such a treat to see her all grown up at 1 month.  Little ones truly grow so fast.  We are looking forward to her 1 year session and fully expect the potential for a few photo sessions in between.

Here are some selections from our most recent session:

Stephanie & Andy | April 17, 2010

Stephanie & Andy’s long awaited wedding day finally arrived and it was quite simply the best way to kick off our 2010 wedding season. There was a special buzz, an extra high level of energy at this wedding that permeated the entire day. The love and excitement was felt by all guests. The day was a true pleasure to document and we wish Stephanie & Andy the absolute best. In fact, they are still on their honeymoon right now and we wanted to give them a very early surprise…

We have been working on some commercial assignments recently, and had the opportunity to photograph at Bartini.  The bar is adjacent to Urban Fondue in NW Portland and features over 100, creative and stunningly delicious martinis.  The service is absolutely wonderful and the waitstaff couldn’t be any more friendly.  Make sure to check out their amazing Happy Hour:

Sunday 4 pm – 11 pm (all night!)
Monday 4 pm – 12 midnight (all night!)
Tuesday – Thursday 4 pm to 6:30 pm, 9:30 pm to close

Sparkler Departure

Interested in an idea that is low in cost but has a high impact on your wedding photography?  Who doesn’t — right?  Well have you considered a sparkler departure?

I recently came across a wonderful website that specializes in sparklers for weddings. Sparklers online sells 10, 20, and 36 inch sparklers.  The longer the sparkler, the longer it will stay lit!  Check out their site for all sorts of creative ideas.  The other option for those of you getting married after the 4th of July, is to wait until right after the holiday.  Many locations typically slash their prices after the holiday, and it is a great way to take advantage of the bargains.  The key is to make sure you have lots of lighters so all your guests can light their sparklers at the same time.  With everyone waving their sparklers as you depart, rest assured that you will have a fantastic image of your final send off for the evening.  Here are a few recent sparkler departures that we have documented:
